Karapotó Nation
Visual multimedia artist, filmmaker, actor and cultural producer, graduated from the Federal University of Pernambuco – UFPE.
He believes in the strength of his ancestry and the power of his body as an anti-colonial discursive tool.
The short film 'The verb became flesh, 2019', was his first film. In 2020, was awarded the prize "Another Sky", an award organized by the network of universities in Bahia (UFBA, UNEB, UFRB), Pará (UNIFESSPA), England (Sussex), with support from Fapex, together with the indigenous movement, through APOINME.
In 2021, it was one of the curators of Festival Alagoanes: 100 years of audiovisual in Alagoas and jury of the competitive show of the Black Audiovisual Week in Recife. Even in 2021, was one of the authors, along with other indigenous filmmakers, of the special "Falas da Terra", a project promoted by TV Globo Rio de Janeiro. He participated in the art direction of the audiovisual project "Aracá" by Abiniel Nascimento and is finalizing the experimental doc Paola as co-director.

ancestral indigenous present, publication nº 1, from mîmxox eoató, 'red spear' in Patxohã-Maxacali language, sought to present contemporary indigenous artists and communicators, who transit in the occupation of digital spaces and social media as forms of mediation, conversation, activism and to show their creations.
Through art, we indigenous people of different branches, peoples, with their different histories, each in their own way, in this Pindorama territory, where Brazil was invented, cross each other and make a chorus, a song, a scream, a noise, a protest and with our images, with our movements, around a big bonfire that lights in our hearts, and we dance for the ancestors of yesterday, today and tomorrow, for the right to life and land. Life flows, the river flows, the sky rises and the earth is woven for the firm foot.
I want to thank all the artists present in this publication, for their availability, exchange and sharing of experiences. I thank Luciana de Paula Santos/Love Letter exe, for the invitation and space for this publication in the Metatopia pavilion, which she curates, at The wrong biennale nº 5.
